How it started
"The idea of organising mystery trips for friends first came to me while travelling in Finland in 2013. Since then, I've taken friends to places like Cyprus, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Hokkaido. It was such a great experience that I set out to build this company.
But finding the right name was crucial. My vision has always centred around meaningful travel, with a focus on sustainability, responsible tourism, and innovation. Since Finnish values align so closely with this approach, it felt right to choose something in Finnish. That’s when I found Lennetään, meaning "Let's fly."

Once we’ve found the perfect destination, we lock it in and finalise everything—your
mystery trip is officially set!

One week before departure, you’ll receive a pre-departure email with your basic itinerary, flight details, and packing recommendations. This gives you time to prepare without spoiling the mystery!
Then, on the day before your trip, we send the big reveal—your mystery destination, full itinerary, and suggested experiences to help you make the most of your trip!
Want to keep the suspense going? You don’t have to open your reveal email right away! Wait until you're at the airport, on the train, or even at your gate for that ultimate suspense-filled moment!
Step 4: Jet-set, Go!

How do you ensure that the mystery destination matches my preferences?
By asking a series of questions about your travel preferences, hobbies, and interests, our team ensures your mystery destination aligns perfectly with what you love. So, if you’re a beach lover, rest assured we won’t be sending you to the outback! You can also tell us about places you frequent to avoid repeating destinations you’ve already explored.
Can I book my mystery trip to depart from anywhere in the world?
Unfortunately, we can only accept departures from within Australia for the time being. We have plans to expand Lennetään to several countries in the near future, so be on the look out for an announcement soon!
Can I customize my mystery trip, or add special requests?
During the booking process, you can make special requests or share additional information about your preferences. If our available trips don’t quite match your travel style, feel free to reach out to us. We'll work tirelessly to plan a personalized trip that ticks all your boxes. How far in advance do I need to book my mystery trip?
We recommend securing your spot as early as possible to ensure ample time for us to create your custom itinerary. Bookings typically close four weeks in advance, but we offer last-minute getaways for spontaneous travellers, with bookings closing ten days before departure.
What happens if I have to cancel or reschedule my mystery trip?

Mystery trips are for everyone! However, at least one adult (aged 18 and over) must be booked on all our mystery trips.
